The Beautiful Things
Penguin Book Cover Inspired Art — Be Happy With The Beautiful Things That Make You YOU A familiar shape, told in a new way. This artwork borrows the three-band layout everyone recognises from Classic Penguin Book Covers, then uses it to carry a different message entirely: a quiet nudge to appreciate the small, specific things that make you who you are. Every brushstroke is laid by hand — nothing here is printed from a template. Up close you’ll find texture and movement across the surface; the colour shifts subtly as the light in the room changes throughout the day. If you’d rather hang a print than the original, that’s available too — printed on museum-grade canvas and framed locally by Australian craftspeople. Pick a floating frame for a cleaner, modern finish, or order it unframed and build your own. Delivery anywhere in Australia costs nothing extra, and the piece turns up ready to go straight on the wall. Who it suits: A lifelong reader will clock the reference instantly — think of it for a home library, a desk nook, or a hallway stacked with shelves. Someone who needs a gentle reminder to be kinder to themselves — good as a birthday gift, a thinking-of-you gesture, or something to hang in your own space. A first home or a fresh renovation — it sits comfortably whether the room is stripped-back and modern or full of character, and it’s the kind of gift that’s still hanging years after the housewarming. A young person figuring out who they are — striking enough to stand on its own, sincere enough to actually mean something. The original is hand-painted, full of colour, and built to last well past any passing trend.
This piece can be commissioned as a custom, one-of-a-kind original - inspired by classic Penguin book covers, in your own colour, size and words. Send an enquiry below to start one.
